In the aftermath of COVID, I found myself at a crossroads. As a registered nurse, I had witnessed firsthand the toll that the pandemic took on both physical health and emotional well-being. But deep down, I knew there was a more holistic way to approach health and healing—a way to prevent disease, relax the nervous system, and help professional women reclaim their passion and purpose. This realization led me to embrace my roles as a yoga instructor, Reiki healer, and hypnosis practitioner, and to found West Door Yoga as a virtual space dedicated to wellness.
The virtual journey was fulfilling. Bringing wellness to private events, clients, and retreats allowed me to help many, yet I yearned for a physical space—a sanctuary where I could manifest healing in the way I had always envisioned. This dream, however, was tightly held, perhaps out of fear. Not fear of failure, but fear of success and all that it entailed: growth, risk, and the expansion of awareness.
This summer, I committed to a season of 'yes' and a deeper commitment to myself. I realized that just as in yoga, where we create physical space in our bodies to foster balance and healing, I needed to create space in my life for my dreams. It was a journey of letting go, opening up, and trusting the process.
Serendipity stepped in. Through a random encounter filled with goodness and wholesomeness, I found the perfect studio space in Bay Shore. It felt like kismet—an alignment of intention, effort, and opportunity that brought my dream to life. West Door Yoga now has a physical home where healing can flourish in the way I had always imagined.
Our new studio is more than just a place for yoga; it's a haven for those seeking direction and balance. My goal is to reach out to professional women who are suffering from burnout, to offer them a space where they can decompress, destress, and reconnect with their inner selves. Through our classes, workshops, and holistic programs, we aim to help each person rediscover their passion and purpose.
The journey to creating this space has taught me that healing begins with making room for our dreams. It requires us to confront our fears, trust in the process, and embrace the growth that comes with success. I invite you to join us at West Door Yoga, to find your space for healing, and to embark on your own journey towards balance and fulfillment.
Welcome to our new home 5 Fifth Ave, Bay Shore, NY—let's create space for your dreams together.
